1. Information We Collect

When you register, we store your account name, email address, a hashed (never plaintext) password, and registration IP. During play we log character data, in-game currency and item history, and chat/whisper content for moderation purposes only.

2. How We Use Your Information

Account data is used to run the realm: authentication, anti-cheat enforcement, ban appeals, donation reward delivery, and the occasional important announcement email. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't build marketing profiles.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

The site uses a small amount of local storage to remember things like your language choice and whether you've dismissed a banner — nothing that identifies you personally, and nothing sold or shared with third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of outside services to run the community:

• Discord — for chat and support, governed by Discord's own privacy policy
• Our hosting provider — stores server logs needed to keep the realm online
• Payment processor — handles donation transactions; we never see or store card details

5. Data Security

Passwords are hashed, never stored or emailed in plaintext. Access to the account database is limited to core staff. No system is perfectly unbreakable, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe.

6. Your Rights & Choices

You can request a copy of the data we hold on your account, ask us to correct it, or request full account deletion at any time — open a ticket from your Profile under Support, category "Account Issue".

7. Children's Privacy

Shadowburn isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a minor has registered an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll post an update in Changelog and adjust the date at the top of this page.
